Fabricated Metal Components
CSI's fabricated metal component capabilities originate from the leading role we played in establishing a manufacturing operation in Qingdao, China in 1998. Through extensive trial and error, management and worker training, and by avoiding regulatory pitfalls in Asia we became seasoned manufacturers before much of the world thought of Asia as a manufacturing powerhouse.
We have built upon our custom metal fabrication experience to offer our customers capabilities in stamping, tube bending, welding (steel, stainless steel and aluminum welding), sheet metal fabrication, and assembly. Our customers compliment us on being able to bend heavy tube and plate to achieve difficult angles; and to guarantee reliability and repeatability of these processes.
Secondary processes include laser cutting, robotic welding and a variety of finish options: wet paint, powder coat, plating (chrome, zinc, nickel, copper, flash plating), polishing, electro-polishing and black oxide. Our finishing capabilities are able to continually meet or exceed customer expectations. All parts are de-burred and fully inspected by CSI's own inspectors before shipment.

CSI's value added: CSI's customer needed someone who could manufacture their proprietary grab bar for use in handicapped access bathrooms. The customer faced three issues: 1) Finding a quality vendor who could offer engineering services to design and manufacture stainless steel parts, 2) Finding a vendor who not be scared away by a low volume inquiry, 3) Finding a vendor who could manufacture parts that met all applicable building and safety codes in the USA. CSI's exclusive relationship with a top quality, but small Chinese manufacturer allowed it to meet all of the customer's demands and expand the relationship to include many additional Stainless Steel parts.
